This little gem was originally crafted for MetaTrader 4 (MQL4) but works like a charm with a few tweaks in MetaTrader 5 (MQL5). Essentially, it's a lightweight MFC application that serves as a DDE server.
With this DDE interface, you can export all sorts of data available in MQL5, including live data directly into Excel. Super useful for keeping track of your trading metrics!
Here's a quick MQL5 example (Expert Advisor):
Use the event handling function OnTimer() to export MQL5 live data every second:
- Company name associated with your account.
- Current server time.
- Current Moving Average (EMA 21).
