Looking to enhance your trading strategy? This modified Expert Advisor (EA) takes the classic Moving Average from the standard set and amps it up for better performance on MetaTrader 5. You can find it under: MQL5\Experts\Examples\Moving Average\Moving Average.

What's cool about this EA is the added parameters for StopLoss and TakeProfit. Plus, if you set the Lots parameter to a negative value, your lot size will remain constant. For instance, using "-0.1" means your lot size will always be "0.1" for every trade you open.

Input Parameters

  • Lots - This refers to your lot size. If you set this parameter to a negative number, your lot size will stay the same across all trades.
  • Maximum Risk in Percentage - Set your maximum risk level here.
  • Decrease Factor - This parameter adjusts how much you want to decrease your risk.
  • Moving Average Period - Define the period for the Moving Average indicator.
  • Moving Average Shift - This is for adjusting the horizontal shift of the Moving Average indicator.
  • StopLoss - Set your Stop Loss level here.
  • TakeProfit - Set your Take Profit level here.

Keep in mind, if you set either Stop Loss or Take Profit to zero, that parameter will be effectively turned off.
