The Exp_Directed_Movement Expert Advisor is a nifty tool for traders looking to leverage the color change signals from the Directed_Movement indicator. Essentially, this EA kicks in when a bar closes, signaling a shift in the indicator's cloud color.
To get started, you’ll need the compiled indicator file Directed_Movement.ex5. Make sure to save it in your <terminal_data_folder>\MQL5\Indicators directory for it to function properly.
One key feature of this EA is its compatibility with brokers that have a nonzero spread. Plus, it allows you to set Stop Loss and Take Profit levels right when you open a position. If you’re interested in exploring more options, you can check out additional versions of the library here.
The default input parameters of the Expert Advisor were used for the tests shown below. It's worth noting that neither Stop Loss nor Take Profit settings were utilized during these tests.
