Master Your Trades with the VP Money Management Position Size Calculator for MT4

Hey fellow traders! Exciting news—Version 2.0 of the Position Size Calculator is now live! If you're on Version 1.xx, make sure to update your risk percentage.

This handy indicator is based on the Money Management strategies from VP at nononsenseforex.com. It leverages Average True Range (ATR) to help you determine your Stop Loss, Take Profit, and the volume you should enter into a trade based on the percentage of your equity you're willing to risk.

Key Inputs Include:

• ATR Periods
• Input Risk Percentage (for example, for 2% risk, enter 2.0, not 0.02)
• Stop Loss Factor—this calculates your Stop Loss as 1.5 times the ATR from the current price
• Take Profit—determines a Take Profit based on a factor of ATR from the current price
• Font size and color preferences
• Fixed ATR—keep this at 0 unless you want to lock in the ATR value (like during a flash crash)

What You Can Expect to See:

• ATR(14): 80 pips—this shows the ATR for the current period in pips
• If you see "FIXED ATR," it means you've entered a value to override the ATR. Set it to 0 to use the calculated ATR.
• Equity: £50,30.65—your current equity and account currency
• Risk 1.0%: £502—calculated risk in your currency
• Time Left: 01:55:33—how long until the current period closes
• Depending on whether you're buying or selling, you’ll see your Stop Loss and Take Profit levels:
• Buy SL: 0.72654
• Buy TP: 0.72814
• Sell SL: 0.72997
• Sell TP: 0.72129
• Base Corner 0 to 3—this lets you reposition the Position Size display on your screen:
• 0 = Upper Left
• 1 = Upper Right
• 2 = Lower Left
• 3 = Lower Right
• Volume: 1.19—this represents the Lot size or "Volume" in the MT4 order window

Important: Don’t forget to reset your risk size percentage. For 2% risk, input 2.0 instead of 0.02.
