In this post, we’ll dive into the MACD (Moving Average Convergence Divergence) strategy for trading, specifically focusing on trend continuation.

Overview of the MACD Trading Strategy:

  • Time Frame: H1 (Hourly)
  • Currency Pair: EUR/USD
  • Trade Volume: 0.1 lots
  • Indicators: MACD settings of 12, 26, and 9

How to Spot a Buy Signal:

  • The MACD histogram should create a high above 0.0015.
  • After a low is established above 0.0015, the histogram must dip below -0.0005 and then reverse upwards, crossing above 0.0005 without dropping back into negative territory.

How to Spot a Sell Signal:

  • The MACD histogram must create a high above -0.0015.
  • Once a high is established above -0.0015, the histogram should move above -0.0005 and then reverse downwards, dropping below -0.0005 without rising back into the positive zone.

By understanding these signals, you'll be better equipped to make informed trading decisions using the MACD indicator on MetaTrader 5. Happy trading!
