This EA, known as Up3x1, has been revamped from MQL4 and was initially shared by its creator izhutov on MQL5.

How It Works

Up3x1 utilizes three Moving Averages (MAs). When the fast MA crosses above the middle MA while both are situated below the slow MA, a buy order is triggered. Conversely, for a sell order, the fast MA crosses below the middle MA while both are positioned above the slow MA.

Users can choose a fixed lot size or set it to vary based on the available margin. There's an innovative feature that reduces the lot size after a series of losing trades—essentially, the more consecutive losses you have, the smaller the lot size becomes. Plus, you can set a trailing stop on your open positions to lock in profits.

Parameters

  • MaximumRisk - This sets the risk level when Lots are set to 0.
  • Lots - Defines the lot size.
  • DecreaseFactor - This is the lot reduction factor after losing trades. Set to 0 to disable reduction; a smaller value increases the reduction. If the lot cannot be reduced, it opens at the minimum lot size.
  • TakeProfit - Defines the Take Profit level in points.
  • StopLoss - Sets the Stop Loss level in points.
  • TrailingStop - Specifies the Trailing Stop in points; set to 0 to disable this function.
  • FastPeriod - The period for the fast MA.
  • FastShift - Shift for the fast MA.
  • MiddlePeriod - The period for the middle MA.
  • MiddleShift - Shift for the middle MA.
  • SlowPeriod - The period for the slow MA.
  • SlowShift - Shift for the slow MA.

Note

It's advisable not to set FastShift, MiddleShift, and SlowShift values below 1. The EA checks the indicators on the zero bar only when a new bar opens; it's not designed to operate on the zero (forming) bar. Unlike the original version, this updated EA does not include any external parameters for the moving averages.
