To get started with the AscTrend EA, you'll need a few essential indicators. Grab the AscTrend, NRTR Color Line, and TrendStrengthv2 indicators. These tools are crucial for the EA to function effectively.
Key Features:
- Designed for the current symbol and timeframe only.
- Stoploss triggered by the ASCTrend signal.
- No take profit—exits are managed through a trailing stop.
- Fixed volume; no money management features included.
- Basic error management is implemented.
Limitations to Keep in Mind:
- Not compatible with ECN brokers (market execution type).
- Should not be used alongside other EAs or manual trading strategies.
Installation Steps:
- Download the AscTrend EA and the three required indicators.
- Place the indicators (AscTrend, NRTR Color Line, and TrendStrength) into the indicators' folder ( MetaTrader 5\MQL5\Indicators).
- Move the EA file into the experts folder ( MetaTrader 5\MQL5\Experts).
- Compile the indicators and EA in MetaEditor, or simply restart MetaTrader.
