Are you looking to elevate your trading game? The Trend Lines Crossing indicator for MetaTrader 5 is a handy tool that can help you stay on top of price movements. This indicator doesn’t draw trend lines itself; instead, it works seamlessly with your manually created lines or those generated by other tools. Its main function? To keep you informed about price crossings with trend lines!

Key Features:

  • Each trend line comes with its own unique signal counter.
  • When the price crosses a line, not only will you hear an alert, but the font color of the corresponding info line will change to match the line being crossed.
  • Deleting the indicator won’t remove your trend lines from the chart, only the associated information will be cleared.
  • Information updates (including resetting all signal counters) occur in the following situations:
    1. When you attach the indicator to your chart or change its settings.
    2. When you modify any trend line.
    3. When you add or move a trend line.
    4. When you delete a line.
    5. By clicking the "Update Info" button, especially when using the indicator with automatically generated lines.
  • You can use any .wav audio file for alerts. Just place it in the MQL5/Files folder and set the name (including the extension) in the indicator settings.
  • Keep in mind, this indicator only works with trend lines, not horizontal lines!

Parameters Explained:

  • Signal Mode - Choose from three signal modes for crossings:
    1. No Signal - No alerts will be triggered.
    2. Only Sound - Get audio alerts only.
    3. Alert - Receive both audio and visual alerts.
  • Seconds Between Signals - This determines how often the crossing will be checked, as the Sleep() function isn’t available in indicators. A default of three seconds is recommended to avoid too long intervals.
  • Signals Quantity - This sets the number of audio signals/alerts you’ll receive. Note that it’s valid only for the current bar, so if the crossing happens at the end of a period, the number of signals will depend on the time left until the bar closes.
  • Sound Filename - Specify the .wav file name for alerts when you select the Only Sound mode. If the specified file isn’t found in the MQL5/Files folder, the default alert.wav from the MetaTrader 5/Sounds folder will be used.
  • Show Lines Info - This will display the name and price information of the line on the current (last) bar. The indicator automatically adjusts the color of the labels based on the chart background, turning them to match the color of the crossed line.
  • Label Name Prefix - This prefix will be used for labels' names (line names and prices). It should have at least five characters and helps you to delete only your labels when removing the indicator from the chart.
