The BarTimer indicator is a nifty tool for MetaTrader 4 that helps you keep track of time in relation to the trading bars. It shows you exactly where you stand in the current bar, whether it’s the beginning or the end, and even provides the time elapsed as a percentage. This can be a game-changer for your trading strategy!
Why is this important? Well, timing can make or break your trades. Personally, I like to enter positions no more than 20% into a candle and wait until I’m at least 80% through before making my next move. In the first scenario, I’m looking at the previous candle for insights, while in the latter, I'm focused on the current one. As you scale up to larger time frames, sticking to stricter guidelines becomes essential.
