Welcome, fellow traders! Today, I'm excited to introduce you to the VR-SETKA-3, a powerful Expert Advisor (EA) for MetaTrader 5 designed by Vladimir Pastushak and enhanced by the coding expertise of barabashkakvn. This EA is built on the foundation of real trading experience, and it's here to help you navigate the chaotic world of financial markets.

The market can be unpredictable, and trying to forecast price movements often feels like chasing shadows. However, one thing remains constant: chaos doesn’t create regular patterns. With this understanding, we can capture price movements of various sizes and lock in small profits consistently.

Key Components of the VR-SETKA-3 EA

  • 1 - Solid Entry Strategy: After testing numerous trading tactics, I've found a reliable approach that delivers at least 8 successful trades for every 2 losses. This EA's entry mechanism is based on precise market conditions.
  • 2 - Hold Positions Strategically: Once a trade is opened, the EA patiently waits for your planned profit target to be hit before closing the position.
  • 3 - Smart Exit Strategy: If trades go south, the EA is designed to optimize exits, reducing two statistically losing trades to zero while capturing profits whenever possible. The Plus parameter also adds a few points above zero to your gains.

Understanding the Entry Mechanism

We often hear about price movements in financial news, like a 2% increase or a 1% decline. My research into overbought and oversold market conditions has led to a unique entry formula. For example, if the day’s low is 1.23000 and the current price is 1.25000, the EA will sell when the price reaches 1.2423 based on a default Percent parameter of 1.3.

The buy signal works on the opposite principle, allowing us to capitalize on price roll-backs from strong movements.

Most trading strategies struggle to maintain the impressive 8-to-2 success ratio that this EA offers.

Holding Positions for Optimal Profit

When the market moves in our favor, the EA will hold the position until it reaches the take profit level. If your lot size is calculated based on your deposit, each new trade will increase in size if the previous one was successful. This EA even allows for decimal percentage settings (like 1.1%, 1.8%, or 35.69%) for more precise lot calculations.

Exiting Trades Strategically

To exit a losing trade, the EA employs an averaging method, meaning it opens new trades of the same type to recoup your losses as the price moves back. Without using a martingale strategy, this typically requires a roll-back of about 50-52% to break even, taking spreads and commissions into account.

With a martingale approach, you'll need just a 20-22% roll-back to close the order series. However, proceed with caution, as this method is high-risk and requires a solid capital base to weather significant price swings.

Additional Features of the EA

The VR-SETKA-3 also includes parameters for averaging trades, and you can adjust the distance for new orders with the Distanciya and ShagDist parameters. You have the option to choose between standard averaging or martingale strategies:

Standard Martin: False

Using martingale: True

Other settings include Slip (for slippage in points) and Magic (to identify your EA’s trades).
